What reads free, and what does Pro open?

Text you paste, copy or share reads free, forever, at full quality: every mode, every speed, every theme, links, TXT and Markdown files, and three documents on the shelf at a time.

Pro opens PDF, DOCX, RTF and HTML files and an unlimited shelf. One purchase covers iPhone and iPad.

Which iPhone or iPad do I need?

Flash Reader 4 needs iOS 26 or later, on iPhone, iPad or iPhone Duo. On an older iPhone or iPad, the App Store keeps offering the last version that runs there.

How do I cancel Pro?

Annual and monthly Pro renew until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Cancel at least a day before the period ends and you are not charged again. Pro Lifetime never renews.

Which files open?

TXT and Markdown read free. PDF with embedded text, DOCX, RTF and HTML read with Pro. A PDF that is only pictures of pages does not read yet; scanned pages come as a free update.

I used the old version. What comes along?

Your books, your speed and your bookmark come along from the old version when you update to Flash Reader 4.

I bought Pro inside the old app. Do I pay again?

No. It is still yours: in Flash Reader 4, Restore purchases in Settings brings it back on any device.

How do I pause, and why does play start the sentence again?

Tap once to pause. Play starts the sentence again, so you keep the thread instead of landing in the middle of a thought.

Can I change how it looks?

There are four themes (Paper, Ink, Sepia and High Contrast), a choice of fonts and an adjustable word size. Pick the theme in Settings, Theme, and the font in Settings, Reading Comfort.
